Sangallo’s (2017)
The starting point of this research is to rework on the Sangallo(s) architects of the Italian renaissance by redrawing their projects and then completing the sketches of their unfinished projects. The goal of the work was to create a monograph on the Sangallo brothers (book design and pictures by Joris Kritis). This architectural “firm” includes several architects and blurs the notions of intellectual property. More than an author, it is projectual principles that emerge from this analysis through various redrawing and images inspired by the Italian renaissance.
These principles will be manipulated and borrowed to create the inter-temporal project of the Sapienza di Siena, originally started by Giuliano de Sangallo and then completed by us.
